Year 7 transfer to secondary school - deadline to apply will be TBC
Reception place at Welbeck for September 2020 - deadline to apply will be TBC
You can apply online via Newcastle City Council here: https://www.newcastlelea.org/citizenportal_live
Alternatively you can collect an admissions form from our School Office.
Welbeck Academy is part of the WISE Academies group; therefore the admission procedure follows WISE Academies principles.
We welcome visits from prospective parents and carers and would ask that you contact the school to make an appointment so that we can ensure that a member of staff will be available to show you around and see all of the great things that happen at Welbeck!
If you would like your child to attend Welbeck Academy, you will need to complete an admissions form. If your child is Playgroup or Nursery age, you can collect a form from the main school office. If your child is applying for a school place outside of the normal transfer periods of Reception or Year 7, you will need to complete an 'In Year Transfer Form'. Please follow this link for more information:
Once you have completed the relevant form and received confirmation that your child/children have been allocated a place, you will be invited to the school to meet with a senior leader (Assistant Headteacher) and other key members of staff that will be working with your child. You will be asked to provide proof of date of birth and to complete some important documentation for your child. It is compulsory that you attend this meeting prior to starting at Welbeck Academy.
If your child is of Reception age or is due to attend the Speech and Language ARC and is eligible for a place at Welbeck, the admission procedure is handled entirely by the local authority.
There is a right for people to object about the policy to the Schools Adjudicator (OSA). See the Schools Adjudicator website for more information on how to do this. Objections for the admissions arrangements for 2020/2021 must be made by 15 May 2019
